Lost In My Own Thoughts Again

It's a strange thing, isn't it? How one manages to get so frustrated with God, thinking He isn't answering our prayers... isn't hearing them. When in actual fact He has answered them - His answer just doesn't suit us. His answer just wasn't what we were wanting to hear. We wanted a Yes. Instead we got a No or a Not Now.

It's a strange thing, isn't it? How being tired can turn you into a completely different person. When you're tired you feel things differently than you may have if you weren't. You react to things differently, things affect you in different, perhaps more intense, ways. All because you're just a little tired.

It's a strange thing, isn't it? How one sentence - a few short words strung together, one question asked or one statement made can change your entire day or stick with you and remain on your mind for days afterwards.

It's a strange thing, isn't it? How after months and months of no contact, simply because life got in the way and school ended and things just happen, you can simply fall right back into place - into that all too familiar and comfortable rhythm - with an old friend.

It's a strange thing, isn't it? How powerful and in control one can feel on one day, and how overwhelmed one may feel come the next.

It's a strange thing, isn't it? The magic of a beautifully handwritten letter sent via snail mail. In my humble opinion, people don't do that enough - write to one another. Share their hearts with one another.

It's a strange thing, isn't it? These late Thursday night thoughts coming from a girl who could do with some sleep. A girl who sometimes wishes she didn't feel everything so deeply.
